Rutland County Council is currently seeking dedicated social workers to join our Child Protection Team. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £38 per hour.
Role Overview:
As a social worker in our Child Protection Team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying a caseload of child-care cases.
- Participating in the duty system and providing specialist duty cover as required.
- Considering the childs and familys cultural, racial, linguistic background, and religious persuasion in delivering services.
- Ensuring efficient caseload management.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records as per departmental procedures.
- Preparing assessments, planning, and reviewing child in need, child protection, and CLA (Children Looked After) plans.
- Preparing reports for case conferences, meetings, courts, or other purposes as necessary.
- Keeping abreast of key research and developments related to family support services.
- Collaborating closely with agency partners to develop services for children, young people, and families.
- Attending team meetings and contributing to team development.
- Adhering to the principles outlined in the Employee Code of Conduct, Rutland County Council's Values, and complying with the social work regulatory body's standards and practices.
