Salary: £35 per hour (set rate, non-negotiable)
Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 12 weeks (1st July 2024 - 1st October 2024)
About the Role:
Wiltshire Council is seeking experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Workers to join our Adult Community Teams (ACT) for a short-term project aimed at reducing the waiting list for interventions to one month by October 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a focused timeframe.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of clients, conducting Care Act assessments, support planning, and reviews.
Work with the CHC (Continuing Healthcare), MCA/BI (Mental Capacity Act/Best Interests), LD (Learning Disabilities), MH (Mental Health), Older Adults, PD (Physical Disabilities), and Carers.
Ensure throughput of at least 3 pieces of work per week, including complex cases.
Utilize the LAS/Liquid Logic system for case management.
Collaborate with other team members to clear the ACT waiting list, ensuring no client waits over a month for intervention by the end of September 2024.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience in Adult Social Work.
Experience with CHC, MCA/BI, assessments, support planning, and reviews.
Proficiency in working with LD, MH, Older Adults, PD, and Carers.
Car driver essential due to the geographical coverage of the role.
Ability to work with the LAS/Liquid Logic system.
Working Arrangements:
Hybrid working model with a requirement to be in Wiltshire for 50% of the working week for visits and meetings.
Covers all three ACT regions in Wiltshire (North, East, and West) and the entire county (some out-of-area work, very limited).
Objectives:
Clear the waiting list in ACT teams to ensure no one waits over a month for intervention by the end of September 2024.
Ensure throughput of work is aligned with the project end date.
Possible extension if complex work is outstanding after the initial 10 weeks.
