Bury Council are looking for a Team manager to join the Leaving care team for Bury Council.
Leaving Care Team Manager will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to a team that delivers successful pathway plans for young people in or leaving care, the requirements for the post are CQSW, DIPSW, BA HONS SW or equivalent with 3 years post qualifying experience in a field social work setting including safeguarding experience

Key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing a team of Personal Advisors and the development of individualised pathway plans for young people transitioning out of care.
* Providing guidance and support to social workers and other team members. Ensuring that they adhere to policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Advocating for the rights and well-being of young people in or leaving care. This includes liaising with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers.
* Identifying and managing risks related to young people's safety, mental health, education, and housing.
* Working closely with other professionals, such as psychologists, educators, and housing officers, to ensure holistic support.
* Monitoring the quality of services provided by the team and implementing improvements as needed.
