Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Devon which is looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer on an interim basis for 3 months initially.
We require an experienced DevOps Engineer to help support and evolve our strategic API Management service, together with helping to skill share across the team.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE CURRENT SC CLEARANCE
Duties will include:
* Supporting the developer teams using the API Management Service
* Providing technical advice to internal users of the system
* Automating support processes to reduce administrative overhead
* Assisting testing and peer reviews of technical delivery
* Sharing knowledge with other team members
Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
1. Demonstrable experience of supporting and working on live products
2. Experience with Git / GitHub and the Atlassian toolset (JIRA and Confluence)
3. Demonstrable knowledge of using Amazon AWS services including Lambda, EC2, VPC (networking) and experience of the AWS CodePipeline
4. Proficient in Python and Linux shell scripting (i.e. Bash)
5. Strong teamwork and communications skills with evidence of an organised and structured approach to your work and ability to work within an agile scrum team environment
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities
* A working knowledge of REST APIs using an API Management solution (e.g. WSO2, Apigee)
* Working knowledge of Auth and Auth protocols, including OAuth2 and API keys
* Collaborative team ethic
