We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Fostering Connected Carers Team in Durham. As a Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster carers and ensuring the well-being and safety of children in foster care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments and provide support to foster carers to ensure the well-being of children in their care.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with carers, children, and their families.
* Collaborate with the team to create and implement care plans and strategies.
* Monitor and evaluate the progress and needs of children and carers.
* Provide guidance and assistance in navigating relevant social services and resources.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and reports.
Qualifications:
* A degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
* Registered SWE
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Empathy and a commitment to improving the lives of children and families.
