Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Assessment and Prevention team in Dudley. This role involves conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and working closely with other professionals to support the well-being and independence of adults in our community. This is a temporary contract position with a start date of 05-08-2024 and an end date of 04-10-2024.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults to identify their needs and abilities.
Develop and implement personalized intervention plans to enhance the independence and quality of life of service users.
Provide expert advice and support to service users, their families, and carers.
Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and service users to ensure holistic support.
Monitor and review intervention plans to ensure they remain effective and responsive to changing needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory requirements.
Participate in safeguarding investigations and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
Qualified Occupational Therapist with valid registration.
Proven experience in adult occupational therapy, particularly in assessment and prevention.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by adults in need of support.
Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
