Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Berkshire which is looking to recruit a Project Support Officer on an interim basis for 3 months initially.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience.
Project Management qualification(such as APMP or Prince2 or P3O or MSP) or be able to evidence more than 3 years' experience in complex organisation(s).
Evidence of continual personal development
Skills and Experience
Strong organisational skills with the ability to organise own work to ensure priorities and statutory timescales are met
Experience and evidence of working in a project support role in a large, complex organisation
Ability to support, motivate, enthuse and inform people, both within the team and those in other departments.
Ability to work autonomously developing and using own professional network to introduce and maximise best practice.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in a calm, confident and professional manner, both verbally and in writing (including strong report writing and editing)
Experience of contributing at an operational level in delivering service improvement
Effective and demonstrable commercial skills.
Knowledge
Strong knowledge of the issues facing local government and those relevant to service / functional responsibilities, together with the legal, financial, and political context of public sector management and the statutory responsibilities of this post.
Wide understanding of project delivery approaches and the impacts they can have on successful service and project delivery.
A commitment to equality and diversity.
Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and good practice and how it relates to themselves and others in the workplace.
