Location: Countess of Chester Hospital and Chester Community
Hours: 1 Day per Week (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM), Potential to Increase to 2 Days

We are looking for a highly skilled Band 7 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Countess of Chester Hospital. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to work both in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and within the community, delivering expert care and support to infants and young children.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Countess of Chester Hospital.
Manage a small community caseload, providing speech and language therapy to children around the Chester area.
Apply specialist dysphagia skills in the assessment and management of feeding and swallowing difficulties in infants.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Ensure high-quality, evidence-based interventions in line with clinical standards.
Keep accurate patient records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Significant experience in neonatal care and dysphagia management.
Experience working in both hospital and community settings.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
A car driver is essential, as the role involves travel within the community.
