We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Lead Occupational Therapist (OT) to spearhead the development and implementation of a Trusted Assessor Framework across Health and Social Care in South West London. This is a critical role designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of trusted assessors to improve outcomes for vulnerable adults, ensuring they receive the right support, equipment, and adaptations to maximise independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a Trusted Assessor Framework to be used across South West London, covering Sutton, Kingston, Croydon, Merton, Wandsworth, and Richmond.
Lead on the creation of standard operating procedures for the prescription of equipment by Trusted Assessors.
Forge partnerships with training providers to ensure the training meets the needs of South West London partners, enhancing the skills of trusted assessors.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the framework by developing outcome measures, collecting resident feedback, and reporting on key performance indicators.
Provide ongoing support and supervision to Trusted Assessors through forums, joint work, and practical development opportunities.
Line manage and supervise a Senior Occupational Therapist who will assist with the project and support Trusted Assessors.
Collaborate closely with the Principal/Lead OT, receiving monthly supervision and guidance.
Requirements:
Qualified Occupational Therapist, with relevant registration and extensive experience in the field.
Proven leadership and management skills, particularly in relation to the development and support of trusted assessors or similar roles.
Strong understanding of equipment prescription, adaptations, and promoting independence for vulnerable adults.
Experience in designing and implementing training frameworks, standard operating procedures, and working within multi-agency settings.
Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing a project team and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
