Job Advert: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Children with Disabilities Team (Wokingham)
Location: Wokingham Borough Council
Rate: £36 per hour
Contract: Maternity Leave Cover (7 months)
Hours: Full-Time, Flexible Working, Remote Working Available
Eden Brown Synergy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Children with Disabilities Team at Wokingham Borough Council. This role is to cover maternity leave for a period of 7 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for children with disabilities, including recommendations for equipment (e.g., seating, bathing, specialist beds, and moving and handling).
Recommend and oversee minor and major adaptation work to ensure homes meet the needs of the children.
Review existing care packages to ensure safe and appropriate care provision.
Complete housing needs reports and collaborate with the housing team to assess and review properties for children and families on medical grounds.
Manage a personal caseload and provide tailored recommendations based on individual assessments.
Facilitate joint working between Social Workers, schools, short break staff, and NHS colleagues to ensure an integrated and effective multidisciplinary approach.
Essential Requirements:
HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
Experience in Social Services
Full Driving License and access to a car
