**Deputy Team Manager - UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) Service**

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced **Deputy Team Manager** to join the UASC Service at Liverpool City Council. This role is essential in supporting the Team Manager and the wider social work team to provide high-quality care for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Team Manager in overseeing the team's work and ensuring high performance across safeguarding and permanence functions.
- Apply strong knowledge of legal frameworks and proceedings, particularly for young people within the care system, supporting their journey from entry to long-term stability.
- Promote stable placements and implement positive, long-term changes through clear pathway planning.
- Lead decision-making processes, chair meetings, and collaborate with key partners such as Housing, Health, and Education to advocate for the needs of young people.
- Play an active role in recruitment, induction, and supervision of staff, championing professional development.
- Serve as a Practice Educator to nurture upcoming professionals in the field.

**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Deputy Team Manager within a Safeguarding/Permanence setting.
- In-depth understanding of legal proceedings and a commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
- Experience in multi-agency working and the ability to build strong partnerships.
- Confident leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to foster a high-performance culture.
- Available to work full-time on site for the first 3-4 weeks for induction and training, and then be on-site at least 3 varied days per week.
