Barnsleys Quality Assurance and Improvement Team is seeking a full-time (37 hours per week) professional to join their team. This role is focused on delivering high-quality social work services, with an emphasis on complex cases and contributing to practice development. Purpose of the Role:
This position involves providing specialist social work services and dealing with complex cases, with a focus on risk assessment and management. The primary purpose of this role will be to support the Quality Assurance and Improvement Team in identifying areas for improvement, recognizing best practices, and promoting service development through audits and feedback.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with another Key Link Officer to develop multi-agency audits to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to children, young people, and families.
- Coordinating and managing case file audits, ensuring timely distribution, collection, and filing in line with established procedures.
- Gathering and analyzing feedback from children, young people, and families about the services they've received from Children's Social Care in Barnsley.
- Assisting senior colleagues in identifying areas for practice development by analyzing audit findings, reviewing policies and procedures, and creating strategies to advance professional development.
- Supporting dip sampling activities for specific areas, as well as analyzing data in line with audit activities to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Working closely with the Children in Care service, including care leavers, residential services, and the fostering service, to support and monitor service quality.
- Assisting senior colleagues in the prioritization and review of work, contributing to effective budget management and ensuring value for public money.
- Supporting service monitoring and evaluation, including needs analysis, reviewing resource availability, and helping to maintain high service standards.
- Managing complex cases, ensuring early intervention, personalisation, and risk management to improve the quality of life for service users and their carers.
- Providing support for Ofsted-related activities, including compiling information for the evidence bank and assisting during Ofsted visits.
- Participating in other audit-related activities as needed.
