Leicester City Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Kinship Supervising Social Worker to carry out connected persons fostering assessments. Initially, the role will focus on completing Form C assessments, but flexibility is required to handle IVA's as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct kinship/connected persons fostering assessments to ensure Foster Carers meet Fostering National Minimum Standards.
- Support, supervise, and train connected persons caring for Looked After children, aiming for permanence through fostering, adoption, or Special Guardianship Orders.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 4 full assessments at a time.
- Work directly with foster carers in their homes, with the option for remote work and office-based tasks.
- Mileage paid for visits from the office.
Role Details:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
- Must have at least 3 years of local authority experience.
- Flexibility required to balance Form C's and IVA responsibilities.
