Nottingham City Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Team Manager to join the Emergency Duty Team. This role involves managing a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency social work services to individuals and families in crisis situations. The position offers a competitive pay rate of £42 per hour (umbrella).
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of social workers within the Emergency Duty Team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
* Respond to emergency social work cases outside of regular office hours, providing expert advice and intervention.
* Ensure safeguarding protocols are adhered to in all emergency situations.
* Collaborate with external agencies to ensure an integrated response to crises.
* Oversee the development and implementation of emergency care plans for individuals and families.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with Nottingham City Councils policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with registration under Social Work England.
* Proven experience managing teams in emergency settings or similar high-pressure environments.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding practices, legislation, and multi-agency working.
* Excellent leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure, providing sound decisions and interventions in urgent situations.
* Experience in managing complex and diverse caseloads within children's or adult services.
