Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Safeguarding Team

Pay Rate: £38 per hour
About the Role
Join the Safeguarding Team at Northamptonshire Childrens Trust (NCT) and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality social work services. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will manage cases transferred from DAAT at the first Initial Child Protection Conference (ICPC) or Child in Need (CIN) meeting. Cases will remain with the team until closure or transfer to the Children in Care Teams for escalation to court or long-term care.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of children and young people, offering varied and rewarding experiences within the safeguarding field.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Handle cases from ICPC or CIN meetings through to closure or transfer.
Safeguarding Services: Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people by delivering robust safeguarding interventions.
Risk Assessment: Continuously monitor and assess risks, ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken.
Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, teams, and agencies to support families and achieve positive outcomes for children.
Professional Development: Contribute to the growth and development of safeguarding practices within the team.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Experience in safeguarding, child protection, and working with CIN and CP cases.
Strong skills in risk assessment, intervention planning, and multi-agency collaboration.
Commitment to professional development and contributing to service improvement.
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service.
Working Arrangements
Office Presence: Must be available to work in the office up to 5 days a week as required to meet service needs.
Travel Support: Candidates living over 60 miles away from the office are eligible for up to £150 per week (pro rata to £30 per day). Proof of address is required.
