Team Manager required for work within the Children & Families Service in the Plymouth area. Candidates will be working in the long term Child Protection Team based in the port city of Plymouth. Pay Rate 48ph Contract for 3- 6 months initially.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Child Protection Team Manger and Court Proceedings Official. The team are looking for passionate individuals to make an impact on the lives of the children and families. In Children and Families, teams are responsible for working with children in need and those who need more robust protection in the form of child protection plans and legal intervention (pre-proceedings and proceedings). The work is varied, and you will be working creatively within the restorative practice model to enable Social Workers and partner agencies to promote positive change within the child's family and family network.
The Team Manager will be responsible for managing a small team of practitioners, you'll embed a high-performance culture by helping your team to continually develop their skills so that they can achieve the best outcomes for our children and their families. Through reflective supervision meetings with your team of social workers, you'll champion their personal and professional growth. Alongside your role as a people manager, you will also be responsible for the allocation and oversight of children within your defined area, ensuring quality standards are maintained, as well as supporting social workers to identify risk and decide when to take protective action.
Successful candidates will have experience of supervising and mentoring qualified and unqualified colleagues, first-class interpersonal skills to deal with complex social care issues, a good understanding of safeguarding and managing complex matters, including court work.
You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
