Social Worker - UASC Team (Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children)
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid working: 3 days on-site, 2 remote)
Rate: Up to £42 per hour (umbrella), based on experience
Contract: Minimum 3-month contract, 35-hour work week
Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children) Service in Liverpool.
About the Role:
As part of this specialist team, you will work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, providing crucial support and guidance. Key responsibilities include:
- Completing age assessments (essential experience).
- Applying your expertise in immigration and housing legislation.
- Navigating statutory guidance and processes related to looked-after children and leaving care.
This role benefits from a stable management structure, with an experienced and supportive permanent team manager and service manager group. You'll also receive regular reflective supervision and work alongside dedicated Personal Advisors within the service.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).

- Demonstrate substantial experience in UASC services, including completing age assessments.
