An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to lead social care activity within Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) in North Manchester. We are seeking a Social Work Team Manager for Harpurhey Integrated Neighbourhood Team to drive forward high-quality social care services and integrated working.
At Manchester City Council, we recognise the importance of delivering care as close to home as possible. Our social care teams are embedded within neighbourhoods, working co-located and integrated with health services, including district nursing. This multi-agency approach ensures that care is planned and delivered seamlessly, with teams working together around the needs of individuals in their local communities.
Each Integrated Neighbourhood Team supports a population of between 30,000-50,000 people, covering two to four council ward areas. These teams are led by a collaborative leadership structure, including a neighbourhood lead, social care lead, nurse lead, health development coordinator, and GP lead. Additionally, teams work closely with key partners such as local housing associations, police, mental health services, and voluntary organisations to ensure holistic support and better outcomes for residents.
