Interim Procurement Hub Supervisor (Project-Focused)
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Sourcing Hub Supervisor with a strong background in project management to spearhead the implementation and operation of a new centralised procurement sourcing hub. This is a high-impact interim role, instrumental in the adoption of SAP Ariba guided buying and e-tendering within a currently devolved procurement structure.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish & Develop the Sourcing Hub: Lead the design and implementation of the hub, optimising processes, workflows, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Supervise procurement sourcing officers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
Process Management: Ensure adherence to standardised procurement procedures using SAP Ariba and drive team performance against key KPIs.
Project Execution: Develop and execute project plans that enhance team capabilities and streamline procurement operations.
Compliance & Risk Management: Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments to align with UK procurement legislation and internal policies.
Supplier Oversight: Oversee supplier validation, due diligence, and compliance checks to maintain high standards and mitigate risk.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure supplier compliance and process efficiency.
Performance & Efficiency Reporting: Track key performance metrics including spend analysis, compliance trends, and risk mitigation.
Quarterly Reporting: Support periodic reporting on contract management, spending, and operational performance.
Skills & Experience Required:
Legislative Expertise: Strong knowledge of UK procurement legislation and compliance frameworks.
Project Management: Proven ability to lead procurement projects within a Local Authority setting.
Organisational & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to manage workloads effectively and analyse data for insights.
Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage stakeholders and suppliers.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in compliance monitoring and risk assessment.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work across teams and manage cross-functional relationships.
Data Analysis: Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, and other data tools for procurement insights.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to resolving procurement risks and driving operational efficiencies.
Onsite Requirement: Onsite presence required 2 days per week
