About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker in the CLA Team, you'll work with children aged 0-18 whose care plans focus on permanency, adoption, or long-term care. Your role will involve:
?? Building meaningful relationships with children and young people
?? Ensuring children's voices are heard and their needs are met
?? Care planning, safeguarding, and supporting children to reach their full potential
?? Working with Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, including age assessments
?? Helping children transition to independence
Key Responsibilities
? Managing a complex caseload while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations
? Supervising students and supporting newly qualified social workers
? Leading team meetings and duty rota management
? Conducting court proceedings and care planning
? Chairing meetings and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners
? Representing Slough Children First's values and promoting best practices
? Maintaining accurate records and ensuring casework meets legal requirements
About You
? Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
? Significant post-qualification experience in a children's social work setting
? Strong assessment, analytical, and risk management skills
? Experience in court proceedings, care planning, and safeguarding
? Ability to lead, mentor, and support junior staff and students
? Passionate about supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes
