We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety and Compliance Manager to manage H&S and compliance for a corporate estate on a contract basis, ensuring full statutory and contractual adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement H&S policies and processes.
- Act as Responsible Person for compliance, including water and asbestos management.
- Oversee Hard FM contracts, ensuring H&S compliance.
- Provide training to senior management and key staff.
- Monitor and report on compliance performance.
- Address H&S and compliance-related complaints.
- Implement an electronic site log book system for compliance tracking.
- Conduct audits, identify service failures, and drive improvements.
- Keep up with legislation changes and ensure compliance.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma).
- Significant experience in a Health & Safety managerial role.
- Strong understanding of H&S legislation (DDA, COSHH, Data Protection Act).
- Proven ability to manage compliance in a corporate estate environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards Chartered Status.
- Fire Safety qualification (National Certificate or equivalent).
