Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Safeguarding Team
Location: Sand Martin House, Peterborough PE2 8TY
Pay Rate: £40 per hour
Type: Full-time, Temporary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. This role involves working with children and families to ensure their safety and well-being, providing support and intervention to reduce risks and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage a caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding intervention, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and organisational policies.
Risk Assessment: Carry out detailed risk assessments and develop comprehensive safeguarding plans to protect children at risk of harm.
Safeguarding Plans: Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to implement, review, and monitor child protection plans, ensuring the best outcomes for children.
Court Work: Prepare reports for court proceedings and present evidence in court when required.
Support & Intervention: Provide direct support to children and families to improve parenting capacity and ensure children's needs are met.
Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with legal and organisational requirements.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other social workers, managers, and external partners to deliver effective safeguarding services.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and Social Work England registration.
Experience: At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in childrens safeguarding teams.
Skills: Strong assessment, risk management, and report writing skills, with experience in court proceedings.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding processes, and care planning procedures.
