About the Role:
Sefton's Safeguarding Adults Team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Qualified Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will manage complex cases, including risk assessment and management, and will demonstrate your expertise in safeguarding vulnerable adults. Your role will also involve providing evidence in court related to care proceedings and overseeing the learning and assessment of social work students during practice learning placements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex safeguarding cases, assessing and mitigating risks.
Provide critical knowledge and expertise in social work interventions, demonstrating an understanding of a range of relevant theories and models.
Oversee the teaching, support, and assessment of social work students on placement, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Give evidence in court as required in relation to care proceedings.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of practice within the Safeguarding Adults Team.
Essential Criteria:
Significant experience in safeguarding adults and complex case management.
Strong ability to assess and manage risk effectively.
Knowledge of relevant theories and models for social work intervention.
Ability to oversee and support social work students on practice placements.
Willingness and ability to attend court and give evidence in care proceedings.
HCPC registration as a Social Worker.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Arrangement:
This is a hybrid working role, with the successful candidate required to attend the office at Magdalen House, Bootle regularly, alongside the flexibility to work from home some days.
