North Tyneside Council is seeking Locum Educational Psychologists (EPs) to support the completion of statutory assessments. This role focuses solely on conducting assessments in line with SEND Code of Practice requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake statutory Educational Psychology assessments for children and young people.
Provide high-quality psychological advice and reports to support Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, schools, and local authority services to ensure assessments align with best practices.
Work within legal frameworks and SEND legislation to deliver accurate and timely assessments.
What You'll Need
Qualified Educational Psychologist with HCPC registration.
Experience in statutory SEND assessments and report writing.
Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, and relevant educational legislation.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Additional Information
Flexible working arrangements may be available.
This role is strictly assessment-based, with no additional casework required.
