Hull City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Locality Team in North Hull. This role involves managing a Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Care Proceedings caseload, ensuring effective safeguarding interventions and positive outcomes for children and families. The position offers a competitive pay rate of £35 per hour (umbrella) and the flexibility of a condensed work pattern (9-day fortnight).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of CIN, CP, and care proceedings cases, ensuring timely interventions and effective planning.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify risks and support needs.
- Develop and implement care plans that focus on child safety, well-being, and long-term stability.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including education, health, and legal teams.
- Prepare reports and attend child protection conferences, court hearings, and review meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory guidelines and council policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with registration under Social Work England.
- Experience working in Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, risk assessment, and case management.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Office-based working required for at least three days a week.
