Role Summary: We are seeking a candidate to cover a secondment for the role of assessing and facilitating the move-on accommodation needs of homeless households in temporary accommodation. This role involves ensuring financial assessments, social and welfare circumstances are thoroughly evaluated and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessing the move-on needs of households in temporary accommodation, including financial, social, and welfare aspects.
* Supporting households with access to move-on options such as bidding strategies, qualifying offers, PRSO, and access to supported and specialist housing.
* Issuing statutory decision letters and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Council policies.
* Negotiating with landlords to ensure accommodation is affordable and facilitating viewings and sign-up arrangements.
* Collaborating with Procurement and other teams to ensure timely use of properties and minimizing financial loss.
* Maintaining and updating relevant systems to ensure enquiries and cases are progressed efficiently and set targets are achieved.
* Providing excellent customer service and contributing to year-on-year improvement of service standards.
Requirements:
* Strong understanding of housing policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
* Proficiency in maintaining and updating case management systems.
