Job Opportunity: Billing and Recovery Officer - North Northamptonshire Council

Billing and Recovery Officer to join North Northamptonshire Council on a hybrid basis. This role is ideal for a council tax professional with experience in both billing and recovery who is looking for a flexible, long-term assignment.

? Role: Billing and Recovery Officer
? Location: Hybrid - Offices in Thrapston, Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
? Rate: £25 per hour (Umbrella) / £19.23 per hour (PAYE)
? Duration: Until May 2025 (possible extension)
? Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
? IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:
? Handling all aspects of council tax billing and recovery
? Using the Academy system to process account amendments, moves, discounts, and arrangements
? Reviewing accounts at various recovery stages in line with legislation and local guidelines
? Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, and letter
? Business rates experience is a plus but not essential
