Wokingham Borough Council is looking for an experienced Homelessness Prevention Officer to join our Homelessness Team on a interim basis the post holder will hold an active case load of Prevention and Relief Duty cases, and the post holder will also be required to make full inquiries and main duty decisions.

The post holder will also assist with running our duty homelessness service. Therefore the role will predominately be based at the Council Office in central Wokingham.

The role requires an in depth knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act and Part VII of the Housing Act, recent experience of working in this sector with other local authorities and the ideal candidate will have experience of using Housing Jigsaw.
