About the Role:
As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and supporting a team of dedicated social workers and practitioners within the Duty and Assessment Team. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and high-quality assessments, managing caseloads effectively, and providing strong leadership and guidance to drive positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of social workers, ensuring high standards of practice in duty and assessment work.
* Oversee and quality assure assessments and reports to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Provide supervision, coaching, and support to social workers, fostering their professional development.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
* Manage performance and workload distribution effectively, ensuring timely responses to referrals.
* Contribute to service improvements, policy development, and best practice initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to legislation, policies, and procedures within the team.
About You:
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
* Significant experience in children's social work, particularly in duty and assessment or frontline services.
* Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams within a social care setting.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding practices, and assessment frameworks.
* Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of work.
