We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our locality-based multi-disciplinary team in Redbridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, delivering high-quality assessments, and providing tailored interventions to individuals with diverse health and social care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and make recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches, reading plans, and providing detailed specifications for major works.
Perform holistic person-centred assessments, support planning, and reviews of individuals with varying health conditions and their carers within a multi-professional team.
Apply knowledge of legal social care frameworks and housing legislation in practice.
Manage, plan, prioritise, and progress complex cases effectively.
Assess and recommend both simple and complex equipment, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safe working practices.
Essential Requirements:
Excellent knowledge, skills, and experience in assessing and recommending major adaptations and complex equipment, including manual handling.
Strong experience working within a multi-disciplinary team and undertaking complex, holistic OT assessments.
In-depth understanding of the legal social care framework and housing legislation.
Proven ability to manage, plan, prioritise, and progress complex cases independently.
Comprehensive experience in assessing and recommending both simple and complex equipment, reviewing effectiveness, and teaching safe use to service users.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge of specialist equipment, major adaptations, and manual handling.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise, and plan workload effectively.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary setting.
Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the HCPC.
