About the Role
Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their District Child Protection Team (DCPT) on a part-time basis. This role involves working with children at risk of harm, undertaking child protection assessments, and providing interventions that ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in need. You will also be expected to liaise with multi-agency partners and be involved in decision-making processes to safeguard vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct child protection assessments and develop tailored care plans for children at risk.
Provide intervention and support services to children and families.
Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
Attend meetings such as child protection conferences and other relevant forums.
Ensure up-to-date records are maintained in accordance with social work standards and practices.
Participate in court proceedings and provide evidence when necessary.
Requirements
Social Work England registration.
A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working in children's services, ideally in child protection or safeguarding.
Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and relevant legislation.
Excellent assessment and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage complex cases and work effectively within a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to engage with children and families.
